Corby Site Specific Allocations DPD

From Monday 7th September 2009 to 5pm on Monday 19th October 2009 the council will be consulting on the latest draft of a document known as the Site Specific Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) (and corresponding Sustainability Appraisal) that will form part of the Local Development Framework. The Local Development Framework is a folder of planning documents that will replace the existing Corby Local Plan.

The Site Specific Allocations:Proposed Alternatives document puts forward options/proposed alternatives for:

  • Economy and Employment
  • Housing
  • Villages and Rural Areas
  • Town Centre and Retail
  • Green Infrastructure, Open Space, Sport and Recreation
  • Community Facilities, Services and Infrastructure
  • Environment and Heritage
  • Kingswood Regeneration, and
  • Western Urban Extension

This document presents the proposed policies and allocations of land for future development and gives professional bodies and members of the public the opportunity to express their views.

The Council has already undertaken public consultation in order to help develop the Proposed Alternatives contained within this document.

The consultation document and corresponding Sustainability Appraisal are free to view online or alternatively, CD-Roms containing the document are available free of charge when requested from the Planning Department.

The documents are also available to view at libraries and the One Stop Shop, Grosvenor House, Corby.
