Planning Issues in North Northamptonshire Issues Consultation
The North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit has produced a discussion document about Issues that need to be tackled in reviewing the long term Plan for the area. The plan for the next 20 years will focus on local needs and ambitions and the Issues Paper is designed to get people thinking about development and environmental issues and how places could change for the better. As part of the consultation, a ‘postcards from the future’ competition has been launched inviting people of all ages to think about how their area and the way they are living could have changed by 2031. Prizes will be given for the most imaginative designs and ideas. Feedback will help the Joint Planning Unit put together a draft of the Plan, setting out the preferred approach, for further consultation in the summer. The replacement Plan should then be prepared by the end of the year, after which it has to go through a public examination with an independent Inspector before it can be adopted, probably in late 2012. The period for comments runs until Monday 28th March

Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report
This SA scoping report represents the first stage in meeting the SEA requirements and informing the Sustainability Appraisals of future documents. It has been prepared for consultation and it asks interested people and organisations whether the Sustainability Appraisal and objectives are correct. There are a number of questions asking whether consultees know of any other information that should be taken into account and whether there could be any improvements to the proposed framework for assessing this and future Development Plan Documents.
North Northamptonshire Core Strategy Review Regulation 25 Consultation
The Plan that sets out the framework for North Northamptonshire's future is now being reviewed, taking it forward to cover the period to 2026 and looking at the longer term vision to 2031 and beyond.
Corby Site Specific Allocations DPD
From Monday 7th September 2009 to 5pm on Monday 19th October 2009 the council will be consulting on the latest draft of a document known as the Site Specific Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) (and corresponding Sustainability Appraisal) that will form part of the Local Development Framework. The Local Development Framework is a folder of planning documents that will replace the existing Corby Local Plan.
